USA vs UK christmas song

this time, i will give you some homework...

1985 was a great year...i was 10 years old and i bought with my sister my first long play: madonna's true blue. this summer a multi-concert (london, washington, philadelphia, sydney and moscow at the same time) was organized by bob geldof in order to raise funds for ethiopia.

it was one of the largest-scale satellite television broadcasts of all time: an estimated 1.5 billion viewers, across 100 countries, watching tv...and i was there!!! more than happy in front of my television. (for further information? of course, wikipedia)

there were two songs: we are the world (usa version) and do they know it´s christmas time (uk version). thanks to MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE here´s the first one...you should already know that in this blog i am miss dj...and i prefer that one so... it´s up to you listen to the other one and vote! which one do you prefer?

i don´t know why but there are two versions of the uk's song, and then another one, the 2000 version...does it make sense?
